Today is all about building your own walk in cooler or fridge using a Coolbot and window A/C unit. I’ll give you all the details and step by step instructions to customize your own fridge or build your own walk-in room using the same system. Recently my reach in Traulsen fridge broke and the repairs would have cost me more than I paid for the fridge itself. After experiencing the ease of installation and efficiency and reliability a Coolbot unit and A/C unit provide I will never buy another fridge again. I will be building my own walk-in fridge when the time comes to upgrade my current set up. The cost savings is unbelievable buying a commercial fridge is a completely unnecessary cost when this option exists.

Good stuff mang. Now if only I could find an affordable cooler or fridge. I have been looking everywhere and even used stuff is crazy priced. Look forward to the next video. Thank you

  2. Timothy Lovegrove says:

Awesome!! I wish I could buy a Coolbot now, but I just invested money in season extension. Here in upstate NY season extension is a must this time of year. This was a great video though and I will save it for when I am ready for a Coolbot. Thanks.

  3. Ihsan Colak says:

I just checked the coolbot online it is 417 USD, AC is around 200-300 and you have a less efficient cooler with little less than a new cooler. If you buy used cooler, I believe you can pay less. What is the economic side of all that hassle?

  4. Obie says:

Ghetto! It’s not the same thing for less money. It’s a hack job Literally overworking a window shaker to hopefully achieve med temp. “I will never buy a piece of commercial refrigeration equipment again.” What happens when you need low temp? You going to trick a window shaker into -10°F box temperature? I didn’t think so. How do you control your relative humidity in that box? I guarantee if you try to store your salad greens in that thing they will prematurely wilt and go bad. If you want to ruin your reach-in that’s great. The problem I have is guys trying to sell coolbots as equal alternatives to real refrigeration equipment and it’s not. Trying to educate on university of YouTube and you don’t know a single thing about refrigeration! What a shame!

  5. demmarcsxr says:

If the probe is waterproof, keep it in a sealed small water bottle filled w/ water – this will minimize temperature fluctuations when measuring air temp when you open the door.

  6. Wite Powa says:

you should use the new LG models with the dual inverter compressor. I have the 9,500 btu window ac unit. highly efficient. only cost me about $15 – $20 a month to run it 24/7. Max wattage is 920. My unit rarely hits 600 and usually stays at 300. 1000kwh cost me $0.17 where i live.
