Called to this old walk in cooler for no cooling, found the compressor to cycle on its klixon due to both the start and run capacitors being faulty.
Replaced them and it ran down to temperature ok. Advised customer that it may fail again soon if the compressor has been damaged by the faulty capacitors (or indeed caused them to fail)

    30 odd years is good service for that one. Not a fan of that condensate evaporator though, they tend to corrode the pipe and if they have a heater mat to help with evaporation it suffers from leakage. I lifted the piping out and put in a fan to evaporate the water.

    I have a few start capacitors, too
    From RFT with 100 micro farad at 320 Volt.
    They are Made in GDR. Means German Democratic Republic. They are more that 30 Jears old, and running good
