This video demonstrates how to adjust the swing door sweep and is part of a series of walk-in cooler door maintenance videos.

Imperial Brown manufactures walk-in coolers and freezers, and cold storage doors, made to order for foodservice, retail, pharmaceutical, and industrial uses, with plants on the East Coast and West Coast of the United States.

For this adjustment, you will only need a Phillips head screwdriver.

First, check for light appearing on the floor under the door. The easiest way to do this is turn on the light inside the cooler and turn off the lights outside the cooler, then check to see if any light is showing.

Run your hand under the door to remove any particles that might be holding up the edge of the sweep.

If light still appears, then loosen the screws holding the sweep in place. The number of screws depends on the width of the door.

Once all the screws are loosened, check to see that the sweep has lowered to make contact with the floor. If there is sufficient contact, then tighten each screw to hold the sweep in place.

Make a final check with your hand to verify the sweep is making good contact with the floor and look to see that no light is showing under the sweep.

You have completed this adjustment if you are satisfied with the new position of the sweep.
